Behind the Brand
The Refinery is a creative agency and branding firm that specializes in crafting brands with a distinct edge. Founded by Rhonda Hickman, a fashion school graduate with a passion for luxury and modern design, the agency is driven by the belief that great branding tells an unforgettable story. Rhonda’s design foundation was built at Miami International University of Art & Design, where she immersed herself in marketing, branding, and design.
With over a decade of experience in the corporate world, Rhonda’s expertise includes marketing strategy, advertising, and brand development for luxury hotel brands around the globe. Her work is deeply influenced by her love for travel, art, and fashion, as she views branding as a form of storytelling through design. After years spent shaping the identities of global luxury brands, Rhonda sought a more direct, hands-on approach—leading to the creation of The Refinery. Today, the agency is committed to shaping unique brand narratives and creating experiences that leave a lasting impression.
